The Coubertin-Platz area is the centre of the whole Olympic Park. Many big and small events are held here and are visited by approx. 1 million people every year.

The varied programme is a theme throughout the Olympic Park. City Marathon, World Cyclo-Cross Championships, the "kleine Wies'n" (the small Oktoberfest) as a summer event in August, adidas streetball, beach soccer, beach volleyball, "Samma im Park" and the "Festival of the Pedals" are some of the top events.
