Olympic Regatta Course

1 | 2

The artificial Olympic Regatta Course is located six kilometres directly north of the Olympia Park and is embedded in 850,000 square metres of countryside. In 1972 rowers and canoeists competed for Olympic medals and these sports are also most dominant here in post-Olympic times. Besides daily training there are national and international competitions every year. And in 2007 the World Rowing Championships will bring a very special highlight to Oberschleissheim once again.

Clubs for canoeists, rowers and archers have interesting leisure activities for their members. In contrast, everyone has access to the bathing area, which is approx. 500 m long and directly in front of the grandstand. And volleyball players, inline skaters and cyclists can also have enjoy themselves around the Olympic Regatta Course.

Yet another attraction is certainly the bungee jumping area supplied by Jochen Schweizer GmbH. Bungee jumping is possible every second Sunday from May to October in the regatta area. Not only is it worth a trip to watch the jumpers from a safe distance but you can also give in to the temptation and overcome your fear. You'll get an excellent view from an airy position and you're guaranteed to get a kick out of it!
