Running & Nordic Walking
Running is healthy - and running with others is even more fun.
For Nordic walkers, for example, the AOK organises a Nordic Walking Meet every Wednesday at 18.30, where you can walk the course together under instruction. Further details below:
AOK course: four Nordic Walking routes for the Olympic Park!
Together with the German Nordic Walking and Nordic Inline Association, the AOK has set up Bavaria's first permanent AOK course for Nordic walkers in the Olympic Park in Munich. At that, the then Bavarian Health Minister, Dr. Werner Schnappauf, even took on the role of patron.
Pick your route!
In the AOK course at the Olympic Park you will find a variety of routes - suitable for all Nordic walkers, from beginners to serious enthusiasts. Each route is signposted as circuit. In the starting area between the Olympic Tower and the Olympic Swimming Pool signs clearly indicate warm-up and stretching exercises. Heart-monitoring stations on all routes give you the opportunity to check your pulse rate.
