Munich is making a bid!

This is an historic opportunity: The Olympic Park could become the venue for Olympic Games for the second time, following the summer games in 1972. If the bid is successful, Munich and the Olympic Park would be making history, as no city has yet hosted both summer and winter Olympic Games.

Olympic Winter Games and Paralympics in Upper Bavaria with Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Berchtesgaden area would draw the attention of the whole world to this region and the entire state of Bavaria, emphasising its role as a modern economic centre and popular tourist destination.
