The Coubertin Square is the central spot of the entire Olympic Park. Many big and small events take place here throughout the year with an average frequency of up to one million visitors per year.

From the annual Summernight’s Dream with the superlative fireworks to the 24 hour mountainbike race; at the “Sommerfestival impark” each August or at the the X Games or the Munich Mash: The Coubertin Square has established as a venue for a huge variety of atmospheric performances. For example by hosting the FIFA Fan Festival during the Football World Cup in 2006, the annual music and party festival “Energy in the park” or the unforgettable open air concert of the British pop stars Coldplay in front of a crowd of 10 000 enthusiastic fans in July 2005.
