ZUCCHERO "SUGAR" FORNACIARI

D.O.C. World Tour 2020

ZUCCHERO "SUGAR" FORNACIARI

On his current world tour, Italy's foremost blues-rock ambassador, Zucchero, is set to return to the Olympic Hall in November. He will present his latest album, "D.O.C", which was released in November, 2019.

As the standard-bearer of Italian Blues-Rock, Adelmo “Zucchero” Fornaciari is one of the most successful artists in his country. His album, "Oro, Incenso e Birra" sold more than 8 million copies worldwide. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, Zucchero was the first Western star to be allowed to perform at the Kremlin in Moscow. A few years later, he was the only Italian act to perform at the 1994 edition of the open-air Woodstock Festival. Two years before he appeared onstage at the "Freddie Mercury Tribute" concert at London's Wembley Stadium. In July 2018 he stood in front of another large audience (65,000) at the British Summer Time Festival in London's Hyde Park, flanked by rock luminaries such as Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and Steve Winwood.

Zucchero has been able to take his music far beyond his own national borders, not least because of his numerous collaborations with other major stars. Among the other big names he’s worked with over the past four decades are: Bryan Adams, The Blues Brothers, Bono/U2, Jeff Beck, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Elvis Costello, Miles Davis, Peter Gabriel, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Mark Knopfler, Brian May, Luciano Pavarotti, Iggy Pop, Queen, Alejandro Sanz and Sting.
