Canceled! Wings for Life World Run 2020

"It is with a heavy heart but - given the current public health concerns - we have decided to cancel all thirteen Flagship Runs and all Organized Runs with the App planned for 3 May. We hope that the cancellation doesn't cause you too much trouble and we wish you, your family and friends all the best in these challenging times. Wings for Life is an organization that looks for a cure of spinal cord injury and, as you can imagine, health goes for us before anything else."

From the official Wings for Life World Run Website:

But actually, there's also good news. You can still run on your own with the Wings for Life World Run App on 3 May – wherever you are. Let's look ahead with optimism and enjoy running. Stay tuned.

We ask you for a few days to prepare all administrative needs and will send you an email no later than 25 March regarding how to run individually with the App and refunding details. We will also update the FAQs on our website in the coming days.

Our mission to cure spinal cord injury remains and we are profoundly grateful for your amazing support. Thank you for your understanding and please take care of yourself.

With love, Your Wings for Life World Run Team

Together – Against the Catcher Car – For a good cause

You start with thousands of people worldwide at the same time. You run or roll as far as you can before the Catcher Car passes you. And everything you are doing is for a good cause. 100% of your entry fee goes directly to research that will help to find a cure for spinal cord injury.

The Wings for Life World Run starts in the north of the city in Munich’s Olympic Park, whose grounds were developed for the Summer Olympics in 1972. It is home to a number of famous structures, such as the Olympic Stadium, Olympic Hall and the Olympic Tower, and is world famous for its pavilion-roof. The route leads the runners from the Olympic Park to the northwest through the beautiful rural districts of Dachau and Fürstenfeldbruck. The exact route can be seen on the official website of Wings for Life.
