Hello, my name is Olympi!

The official mascot of the Olympiapark München GmbH would like to introduce himself:

Since 1997 I have been living in Munich's Olympic park and I really feel happy as a pig in clover here. As a 'pedigree dog' I am also a worthy successor of Waldi, the official mascot of the 1972 Olympic Summer Games.

My territory is the Olympic park. I often enjoy the breathtaking view from the Olympic tower. From its top I am able to overlook this unique sports and leisure area. Every day many nice people from all over the world come to visit this place and I love to meet them. I wish I also were as famous as the Olympic park which is known even in the remotest corner of the world.

Well, I already became sort of famous during the European Athletics Championships which took place in the Olympic stadium in 2002. Athletes from all over Europe had been welcomed to this event. That's why I had the opportunity to come across lots of atheletes and other celebrities before and during the championship. I was even temporarily renamed to 'Eurolympi'. But now I call myself 'Olympi' again.

And what's best - you never get bored of the park. With the many sports and cultural events there is always something going on. But you really need to be fit if you want to enjoy all this. That's why I exercise a lot like going swimming in the Olympic swimming centre, ice skating and inline skating, and many more. There are practically no limits to what you can do!
