"Fire, lights and music" and a huge spring promotion for Munich's Midsummer Night's Dream!

On the 29th of July, Munich's Midsummer Night's Dream will be hosting not only the largest open-air music festival in the city, but also once again a fireworks mega-show in the Olympic Park. Before that, however, the rapper CRO, Gregor Meyle, Seven and Claudia Koreck, as well as Peter Cornelius & his band will be playing on two stages around the Olympic lake. Munich's biggest and longest annual pyrotechnics show is actually one of the biggest fireworks displays in Germany. As the event organiser, the Olympiapark München is already revealing some of the secrets about what's in store for the show this year, and also giving Munich's residents access to a huge spring promotion.

"Fire, lights and music" is the motto of this year's firework extravaganza. The Olympic lake will be put even more centre stage than in previous years with the reflections from the fireworks, but the skies will once again sparkle. The end result is an extravagant, 35-minute fireworks mega-show in countless colours, all accompanied by music. Olympiapark München is saying nothing more at the moment. But there is a second fantastic piece of news: From the 22nd of April to the 7th of May, visitors can enjoy a spring discount of up to 11 per cent on certain ticket categories for Munich's Midsummer Night's Dream.

For the "Parksound stage" on the Coubertinplatz, a silver ticket would cost Euro 44 instead of Euro 49. This is a young and urban music festival that attracts a huge following: panda rapper CRO, a chart topper with platinum status, will play a full concert featuring all of his hits, including “Easy”, “Traum” and “Bye Bye”. Before that, Gregor Meyle and Seven - both of whom earned fame through the successful TV programme “Sing meinen Song - das Tauschkonzert” - will rock the stage. Max the Sax, the former saxophonist with Parov Stelar, is the final act on the billing: summer, sunshine, music, drinks, celebrations, emotion - and all in the heart of the most beautiful city in the world. You simply can't get more festival for your money.

The ticket for the "Island Beat Stage", and of course the subsequent firework mega-show, can be purchased for just Euro 23 (instead of Euro 26 / bronze ticket category). The Island Beat Stage is situated in the eastern part of the Olympic lake, hosting Bavarian and Austrian music acts such as Peter Cornelius and his band, and Claudia Koreck.

Tickets can be purchased from www.muenchenticket.de and the usual ticket outlets.
