DEICHKIND

The success story began almost a quarter of a century ago when Deichkind released their first studio album in May 2000 with "Bitte ziehen Sie durch". With "Befehl von ganz unten" (2012) they reached number two in the charts, "Niveau weshalb warum" then brought the band to the top position in Germany for the first time in 2015. 

In February 2023, Deichkind released their eighth studio album "Neues vom Dauerzustand" - including the six-minute track "Kids in meinem Alter". Philipp Grütering aka Kryptik Joe, Sebastian "Porky" Dürre and creative mastermind Henning Besser aka DJ Phono then presented the sequel at the end of October 2023: With "Kids My Age, Part 2". A satire on all professional youths. And as always, with typically wry lyrics and the groovy Deichkind sound, in a mixture of techno, hip hop and electropunk. As for the content of the new song, the band explained: "It's a clever title and simply smart. And very easy for everyone to remember! People are sometimes quite lost and have to get back into the swing of things after their late night morning shopping or their rebirth in the pelvic position..."
