Benefit Taekwondo Major training course

From martial arts to the emergency call 110

Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Square (formerly Coubertin Square)

"From martial arts to emergency call 110" - under this motto, ten Taekwon-Do grandmasters from southern Germany invite everyone to a major charity training course in the Olympic Park. The net proceeds of the sporting event, which is under the patronage of the Bavarian Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann, will go to the foundation "Aktion Knochenmarkspende Bayern" (AKB).

Martial arts are often associated with the term self-defence. In the philosophy of Taekwon-Do, the term "self-defence" includes various facets such as self-confidence, self-assertion, self-awareness and self-confidence, which are to be brought closer to the visitors of the event by the active participants. However, self-defence also means reaching for the emergency number 110 in good time and informing the police. For this reason, police officers from the Munich Police Headquarters will be on site to provide training and advice to citizens.

The course is a platform for the active participants to exchange experiences and aims to promote cooperation between the associations of traditional Taekwon-Do. The course is supported by the Munich Police Headquarters and "Blaulicht e.V.". In addition to the training courses, active Taekwon-Do practitioners from various age groups (from kids to over 60s) will show the range of their skills in entertaining demonstrations at the Theatron. Interested visitors are cordially invited to join in. Police officers on site will also be happy to answer questions and exchange information with the audience.
