12/23/2004: Good humoured and in “Christmas” mood the legendary Toten Hosen immortalize themselves in the Munich Olympic Walk of Stars.

Campino & band really had a lot of fun when pressing their hands into cement and were as happy as school boys about this honour. The red carpet was laid out near their dressing room leading the punk rockers into the small Olympic hall where the cement slabs had been provided for them.

And there they lay: two 90x90 cm wooden bowls filled with red cement. Not the colour of the Bavarian soccer club – but of course that of their local soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf. Then the action started. At first, they dipped their hands into the water, then pressed them slowly and firmly into the cement. Needless to say that they smiled into the cameras holding up their red hands! The Hosen just found it really cool. Then the signatures, date and of course the obligatory death’s head were carved into the slabs.

Campino even reported live to someone on the cell phone what was just going on. At their own request the Toten Hosen will be placed next to the rock band Metallica at the border of the Olympic lake. After the ceremony the band gave a sensational concert in the Olympic hall with 11,000 Hosen fans going completely wild with excitement. And even on the after show party in the VIP area of the Olympic hall Campino still was full of energy to ring in Christmas until early in the morning. Well, the DJ did not exactly play Christmas tunes!
