With more than 90 million records sold over the last decades he has been one of the most successful artists in German Schlager music. A man who had his first number one album back in 1981.

Therefore it was absolutely high time to honor Roland Kaiser with a plaque on the Walk of Stars. Just before his sold out show in front of an audience of 10.000 he called in on the ceremony. Accompanied by his wife Silvia he was in best mood and good shape, appearing very relaxed when he did not only put his hands into the liquid concrete but also wrote lots of autographs.

A little problem showed up at the end when he was given the “Olympi”, the mascot of the Olympiapark. As he began to brood which of his two grandchildren he should award the fluffy dog, there turned out to be a very easy solution. Kaiser was handed over a second Olympi.
