When summer nights light up, hearts beat faster and music touches the sky, it's Midsummer Night's Dream in the Olympic Park again! On 19 July 2025, the cult festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary - with a very special line-up and magical moments for all the senses. One thing is already certain: it will be a day full of emotions, music and unforgettable experiences.

Max Giesinger, one of the most successful German pop artists, and the exceptional Icelandic singer Ásdís will enchant the audience on the main stage. Opening act Nico Laska wows the audience with soulful songs, energetic performances and pure summer vibes. A programme that guarantees goosebump moments - long before the legendary pyro show bathes the sky above the Olympic Lake in a spectacular sea of lights.

On the peninsula stage, the GRAMMY-nominated psych-folk band Altin Gün, the Colombian-German duo Cosmica Bandida and the Munich cult collective HyTop Soundsystem are three live acts that will provide thrilling dance moments and musical discoveries.

Festival flair for all the senses

In addition to captivating live music from a wide range of genres, visitors can expect a diverse range of culinary delights from all over the world, lovingly designed feel-good locations, a cosy beer garden and atmospheric places to relax, stroll and enjoy. The Midsummer Night's Dream has been an integral part of the Munich events calendar since 2005 and delights tens of thousands of guests every year - with a mix of culture, enjoyment and community. The anniversary will be celebrated in 2025: A festival full of highlights, with the sound of summer and one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in Germany - emotional, impressive and simply #atraum.

General questions

Are there box offices?

Yes, there are daytime/evening box offices at the north entrance to the stadium, the south-west entrance to the stadium and at the Olympic Ice Stadium by the information pavilion. The box offices are open from 3 p.m. throughout the evening. However, individual categories may be sold out. A higher ticket price applies.

What is NOT allowed to be taken along?

Any kind of glass as well as PET bottles/tetra-packs with a capacity of more than 1 liter, professional film and photo cameras, camera tripods, folding chairs, other bulky objects with a volume of more than 50x30x22cm are prohibited. Bicycles in the area of the fence or entrances will be removed for a fee; the organizer is not liable for damage.

Can I bring food with me?

No, bringing food is not permitted.

Can I bring alcoholic drinks with me?

No alcoholic beverages may be taken onto the premises.

Can I bring drinks (including glass bottles) with me?

It is permitted to bring drinks for personal consumption up to a maximum of 1 liter per person, but only in plastic containers. Bringing glass bottles and cans is generally prohibited.

Can I bring my dog with me?

No. This is not permitted for safety reasons.

Can children come to Sommernachtstraum?

Children under the age of 6 are not admitted to the event! Persons from 6 years to under 14 years are only admitted if accompanied by an authorized representative.

Can I use umbrellas/sunshades?

Only foldable umbrellas without metal tips are permitted. Parasols may not be brought along.

Is the program canceled in case of rain, thunderstorms, etc.?

No. The event can only be canceled or interrupted if there are safety concerns.

How long can the Olympic Park be crossed on July 19?

The Olympic Park will be closed from 11.00 a.m. on the day of the event. The Olympic Stadium will be completely closed. Please use the Spiridon-Louis-Ring and the Ackermannbogen to bypass the Olympic Park from 11.00 am. The footpath to the Tollwood area is via Ackermannbogen, by bike via Spiridon-Louis-Ring and Ackermannbogen.

Are there security checks at the entrances?

Yes, at all entrances. Every visitor and all bags will be checked. Due to increased security checks at the entrances, there may be waiting times at the entrance. Therefore, please arrive early and avoid bringing backpacks and bags with a capacity of more than 5 liters.

Are there general safety regulations?

Yes, the Olympic Park and outdoor facilities regulations apply, which are displayed at the entrances.

Is there a disabled service?

There is no special disabled service on site. There is a separate entrance for people with disabilities. This is located near the Sea Life.

Is there an e-mobile rental service?

People with limited mobility can rent electric scooters at the Olympiazentrum stop. Important: The designated wheelchair spaces are not available for e-mobiles - unless a special ticket for wheelchair users has been purchased. Are there separate spaces for wheelchair users (with good visibility)?

Yes, there are. There are places for wheelchair users with good visibility both on the main stage and for the fireworks. The areas are signposted.

Can wheelchair users be driven near the Midsummer Night's Dream by car?

The closest point to get in/out and park - if available - is the parking lot at the Olympia-Actionsportzentrum. Access via Lerchenauer Straße.
