There was not much space left when Munich’s Ice Hockey heroes perpetuated their names in the cement square measuring just 90 times 90 centimeters.

Two weeks after sensationally winning silver at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang the German Internationals from EHC Red Bull Munich were quite happy to become an immortal part of the Munich Olympic Walk of Stars along with some of the favourite pop and rock bands like Metallica or Rammstein. Hockey players like it the hard way.

Just ten minutes before the ceremony was about to get started all of a sudden Marco Sturm came on the scene. Of course the magnificent seven Danny aus den Birken, Yannic Seidenberg, Daryl Boyle, Patrick Hager, Dominik Kahun, Brooks Macek and Frank Mauer didn’t mind at all when the German Head Coach and former NHL star joined them in engraving the Olympic Rings and writing down the six letters which will always be closely connected to the Olympics 2018: SILBER
