The World of Hans Zimmer

A Symphonic Celebration

In time for the 90th Oscar award ceremony, the brand new concert series “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” is extended.

From April 2018, the concert tour “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” starts across Germany. A tour, accompanied by long-term friends and colleagues of the rock star among film composers, with Hans Zimmer as the curator and musical director, although he does not personally appear at these concerts.

In contrast to Hans Zimmer’s well-known “live” tour, where the sound is aligned to his band and the electronic sounds of music, at “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration”, the works of Hans Zimmer are productions for orchestra for the first time. For this purpose, Hans Zimmer personally has created extravagant concert suites to his soundtracks with precision work for several months. For the world premiere of his newly arranged works of “Lion King” to “Gladiator”, the film composer has chosen Germany for the debut performance.   The visually stunning projections of film sequences that are shown to the audience for the first time are also new. Here again, in the run-up to the artistic direction, Hans Zimmer has communicated precisely which scenes are important to him and therefore must be used. Lisa Gerrard – Hans Zimmer’s voice – will accompany the tour as a special guest. With the hymn “Now we are free” from Gladiator, she became world-famous and is regularly collaborating with Hans Zimmer since then. The two have been close friends for a long time. “I am very proud to be able to be a part of this tour”, says the Golden Globe winner.   Apart from some well-known solo artists from Hans Zimmer’s talent factory, who are mostly also accompanying his “live” tour, the Vienna State Opera star Valentina Nafornita will also appear.
