Looking back, it was a rather carefree era for many, after the end of the Cold War and reunification. The nineties were also the decade in which music television reached the last peak of its popularity with MTV and VIVA - before the internet started to sweep through the World Wide Web.
To celebrate the decade, the big 90s Super Show with many top artists of the time travelled back in time in numerous German cities last year. More than 200,000 fans joined in the celebrations at indoor concerts and open-air festivals. Now Munich is joining the mega nineties party fever for the first time. At least ten top acts from the nineties will be performing at the Olympic Hall on 26 October, including the great Captain Jack, who stormed the charts in the mid-nineties with hits such as "Captain Jack", "Drill Instructor" and "Soldier Soldier". Also on stage will be VIVA legend Mola Adebisi, who hosted formats such as "Interaktiv", "Amica TV", "Club R'nB" and various chart programmes from 1993 onwards. An evening not to be missed if you want to immerse yourself once again in the sound and vibe of a very special decade.
