The two friends founded the Lumineers in 2002 in their home state of New Jersey, later moving from the east coast to Colorado and settling in Denver. The band celebrated their first really big success in 2012 with the single ‘Ho Hey’, which reached number 3 in the charts in the USA and number 5 in Germany. Their second studio album ‘Cleopatra’ even reached the top position in the USA in 2016. Following the release of the longplayers ‘III’ (2019) and ‘Brightside’ (2022), they embarked on their biggest tour to date. The highlights were the sold-out performances at Coors Field in their adopted home of Denver and at the legendary baseball arena in Chicago - which can be heard on the rousing live album ‘Live from Wrigley Field’, released at the end of September 2024.
The Lumineers have also recently played major festivals in Germany with their own style of folk, gospel and typical Heartland country rock, whether at Hurricane, Southside or Tollwood in Munich in 2023. On their tour through Europe, Schultz, Fraites & Co. will also delight their fans in the Olympic Hall for the first time on 26 April 2025 with their distinctive vocals and characteristic sound.
