The Theatron Whitsun Festival celebrated its premiere in June 2000, and the open-air event soon established itself as a permanent fixture in the Olympic Park's annual calendar. There was only a forced break during the fan festival for the 2006 World Cup and during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, there will once again be a packed programme of great artists over the three days from Whit Saturday to Whit Monday - with five live acts each day between 4pm and 10pm.
Among others, the Munich-based Ebow, who is now one of the most sought-after voices in German rap, will be performing on 7 June from 9 pm. To kick off Whit Sunday (8 June, 4 p.m.), the Munich girls from FAB will heat things up with their female synth-punk without much preamble, while Berlin singer-songwriter Finn Ronsdorf will close the evening at 9 p.m. The three Welsh girls from Adwaith promise uncompromising indie rock on Monday from 6.15pm, and the London trio Honeyglaze will bring this year's festival to a close a little later as the final live act.
