Do your sightseeing at a run, taking in the Olympia Park, Leopoldstraße, Siegestor, Königsplatz, the Englischer Garten, Art Deco villas in Bogenhausen, the Gasteig cultural centre, the Isar Bridge, Marienplatz, the Bavarian State Opera, the Munich Residenz, the Pinakothek art museums, Odeonsplatz, Theatine Church and Ludwigstraße. Before the Olympic Stadium comes into view. Running through the big marathon gateway and into clouds of stage fog, music and colourful lights is a moment you won't soon forget. With just 300 metres to go, you turn onto the home stretch towards the Olympia Stadium, accompanied by the cheers of the spectators. G’schafft, as we say in Bavaria – you’ve made it! And then?
