The star tenor has a special connection with Germany: in 1996, his performance at Henry Maske’s farewell boxing match made him a superstar overnight. The song “Con te partirò” from “Romanza” became world-famous in the English-German mixed version “Time to Say Goodbye”, which Bocelli sang together with Sarah Brightman.

To this day, Bocelli remains closely linked to the former German world boxing champion and says: “Everything changed after that. Henry Maske was a real stroke of luck for me. If he hadn’t chosen that song back then, my career would probably have taken a completely different course.” “Con te partirò” remains Bocelli’s best-selling single to this day.

This extraordinary career began with his victory at the Sanremo Festival in 1993. Andrea Bocelli became a living legend with songs such as ‘Miserere’, which he recorded together with the Italian rock singer Zucchero, as well as through major opera productions such as ‘Manon Lescaut’, ‘Turandot’ and ‘Otello’. Bocelli then made music history: his album “Sì” reached number one in the album charts in both the UK and the US simultaneously – a feat no Italian artist had ever achieved before.

Throughout a career spanning more than three decades, Andrea Bocelli has thrilled audiences with sold-out arena concerts, record-breaking live streams and legendary performances at some of the most significant events in recent history, such as the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
