Blue Tomato Rail Jam

"Battle in the Arena" comes to Munich!

Ever since the Olympic Summer Games in 1972, the Olympiapark in Munich has been the venue of choice for spectacular events and sports displays of the highest level. No wonder, then, that the international boardsport shop, Blue Tomato, has chosen the Theatron at Olympiapark as the venue for its second "Battle in the Arena".

At this freeski and snowboard rail jam, motivated rail jibbers will have the chance to throw down alongside the likes of professionals such as Austrian jibbers Marc Swoboda, Dominik Wagner and Martin Hauck. Local riders Basti Rittig, Johannes Drexl and Miri Hoffmann have also confirmed they will be riding. Waiting for the winners of the Rookies, Men's and Ladies' categories is a wedge of prize money, as well as free stuff from the sponsors, Adidas Eyewear, Nitro Snowboards, Häxa and Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn, worth a total of € 10,000. On top of all that, the winner of the Adidas Best Trick Award will receive 3 weekends at Kitzteinhorn, including lift ticket and hotel. And as if that isn't enough, whoever comes in first will receive a wildcard for the final of the Sick Trick Tour 2013. An innovative stair set with a variety of rails from Sugarparks and IOU Snow will be built specifically for the battle. Intense rail action is guaranteed. Even better, spectators get in completely free and the Red Bull Event Truck will be providing the necessary energy and tunes to keep the atmosphere and audience buzzing, with a DJ set from Defneetiv bringing the good vibes. After the opening of the three new Blue Tomato shops in Bayern, Blue Tomato are looking to continue stoking the fires in the hearts of Munich's action sport community with this event. +++ To sign yourself up for the Battle, just go to http://go.blue-tomato.com/battleinthearena, download and fill out the registration form, and either bring it to the Blue Tomato Shop Munich (Thomas-Wimmer-Ring 14, 80538 München; Tel. 0049 (0)89 18 912 640), or send it via email to kathrin.grabher@blue-tomato.com.
