The band's history goes back to 1987, when they formed as "The Terminal Team". After changing their name to "Die Fantastischen Vier" they really took off, landing in the charts for the first time with their debut album "Jetzt geht's ab" in 1991 and storming to No. 3 the following year with "4 gewinnt". Hausmarke (alias Michael Beck), Thomas D (Thomas Dürr), And.Ypsilon (Andreas Rieke) and Smudo (Michael Bernd Schmidt) celebrated their No. 1 debut in 1999 with their fifth studio album "4:99". With many millions of records sold and numerous awards, "Die Fantastischen Vier" established themselves as a top act in the German hip-hop scene. By the way, the documentary "Helden des Hip Hop" (Heroes of Hip Hop), which is well worth seeing, provided a retrospective of the band's career. The quartet remixed 15 of their greatest hits on "The Liechtenstein Tapes" and once again achieved a top position in the album charts with third place.
They will prove that they are not tired even after more than three decades with their eleventh studio album "Long Player" in October 2024 and with their next arena tour starting shortly afterwards, which will also take them to the Olympic Hall on 15 December 2024. Munich can look forward to the German hip-hop legends.
