To coincide with the release of his new album “Airplane Mode” via Atlantic Records, James Blunt has announced an extensive tour of Germany. His third stop on the tour will take him back to the Olympiahalle in Munich at the end of February.

James Blunt is taking off again: on 6 November, the British singer-songwriter will release his new album “Airplane Mode” via Atlantic Records – an album that looks to the future whilst offering precisely that blend of light-heartedness, melancholy and sharp observation for which the musician has been admired for years.

James Blunt has already given us a first taste of “Airplane Mode” with the light-hearted single “Tastes Like Summer”. Now, “Weight Of It All” follows as a second track, revealing a different side to the album: more contemplative, closer to the demands of modern life and the burdens that many people carry. In total, “Airplane Mode” brings together twelve stories about being on the move, about detours, new beginnings and life’s ups and downs, both big and small. Other highlights include the anthem “Circles”, which already has the makings of a new Blunt classic, the laid-back, driving groove of “Oh Daisy” and the raw emotionality of “Modern Love”.

The new album marks a return to form for an artist who never ceases to surprise. “Somewhere along the way I lost my way, but found myself again in a studio in Banbury,” says Blunt of Pig Music Studios, where most of the album was recorded. The album was created in collaboration with James Blunt’s long-standing, exceptionally tight-knit live band – and that’s exactly what comes across on the album. Next year, James Blunt and his band will be back on tour.

The tour is presented by GALORE and event.
