Jimmy Carr

Born in West London in 1972, Carr initially worked in the marketing department of a large oil company before making his debut as a stand-up comedian on smaller stages in 1999. After participating in the famous Edinburgh Festival in 2002, he was offered a TV contract with Channel 4, hosting shows such as Distraction, Your Face or Mine, 8 out of 10 Cats and Big Fat Quiz of the Year. In 2025, he hosted the British comedy show ‘LOL: Last One Laughing UK’ on Prime Video. 

He became known worldwide through Netflix specials such as ‘Funny Business’ and ‘Natural Born Killers,’ which reached an audience of millions in its first week after release and was in the top ten of the streaming charts in 29 countries. Once described by a podcast as the ‘Hardest Working Man in Comedy’, he performed at 293 live shows in 145 cities, twelve countries and four continents worldwide in 2023 alone. In April 2024, Jimmy Carr launched his latest tour in the US called ‘Laughs Funny’, which the entertainer, who won the British Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up in 2006, is now continuing on a major European tour – and in 2026 he will be putting his fans' laugh muscles to the test in Munich for the first time.
