Jungle

„Sunshine” World Tour

Olympic Hall

They move between dancefloor and disco sounds, between classic funk and modern beats, sometimes sounding like futuristic neo-soul and sometimes like the best of Motown from the seventies. Either way, the London trio Jungle bring some pretty good vibes. With their fifth album, “Sunshine”, the band is coming to the Olympic Hall as part of their tour. Munich can look forward to a groovy night out.

At first, Jungle were something of a mystery. All that was known about the band’s two founders and frontmen were their initials, T and J. It was school friends Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson who formed the band in 2013 and celebrated their first major success in the summer of the following year with their self-titled debut album. Following their debut, Jungle adopted a more electronic sound on their second album, “For Ever”, whilst remaining true to their style blending disco, funk, hip-hop and neo-soul.

The band scored a massive hit in 2023 with the single “Back on 74”, a track from their fourth album “Volcano”. The song racked up more than half a billion streams on Spotify and earned Jungle a platinum certification as well as their first Brit Pop Award. In 2024, Lydia Kitto, who had already accompanied the band on bass, keyboard and vocals during live performances, officially joined the duo of McFarland and Lloyd-Watson. With the lead single “Carry On”, the trio offered a taste of their new album “Sunshine”, with which Jungle will go on tour in 2026. Fans can look forward to a rousing, ecstatic evening with brilliant musicians and a sound brimming with energy and joy. A celebration for the dance floor.
