Midsummer Night's Dream Munich

More colourful, louder, dreamlike - #atraum

Olympic Park Munich

Summer 2023 will also be a summer day to dream about - with festival-loving people, diverse culinary delights and a fireworks display that is so colourful and vibrant only the Midsummer Night's Dream Munich offers.

The legendary open-air event will immerse the Olympic Park in a very special atmosphere on July 15, 2023: top-class live acts such as Gentleman and JULI on the main stage as well as Noga Erez, Fazer and the HyTop DJs on the peninsula stage, festival food from all over the world and artistic surprises will create a summer night to marvel at, enjoy and simply switch off. And at the end of the evening, everyone gathers around the Olympic Lake for one of the biggest pyro shows in Germany.

Gentleman

If you're ready to put on your dancing shoes and get carried away by the sounds of Jamaican music and hip-hop beats, then you're ready for headliner Gentleman! With his unparalleled live performances, he will bring the main stage to life with his infectious and inspiring lyrics. Gentleman is one of the most famous German reggae artists and has been thrilling audiences with his unique sound for years. Songs like "Dem Gone", "Superior" or "In the Rain" are guaranteed to make you dance and transport you to another world.

JULI

With their impressive musical style, an unmistakable combination of profound lyrics and energetic melancholy, the band JULI will enchant the audience and expand their musical horizons. Frontwoman Eva Briegel and her bandmates have already sold over 1.5 million albums in their career and have been honoured with gold and triple platinum awards for their successful top 10 chart hits such as "Perfekte Welle" and "Geile Zeit". Like Gentleman, JULI is also known for their social commitment. The band has been involved in various social and ecological projects for years and is also an important driving force outside the music scene.

NOGA EREZ

This one-of-a-kind artist has taken the music scene by storm since earning global acclaim in 2017 with her debut album 'Off The Radar'. Erez, who creates her music with partner and co-producer Ori Rousso, harnesses the dynamic elements of electronic music, hip-hop and pop while maintaining a deep sensibility and uniqueness. Her music is characterised by gritty textures and strong atmospheres, forged with her synthesizers and ingenious beats. She boldly taps into different genres and creates a distinctive sound.

FAZER

With a unique musical approach that reaches far beyond the boundaries of jazz, Fazer has created their distinctive sound, which is infused with a wide variety of influences - from the experimental pop music of Talk Talk to the Afrobeat of a Fela Kuti, the Krautrock of Can and the dub techno of Rhythm & Sound. Fazer, consisting of Martin Brugger, Paul Brändle, Matthias Lindermayr, Simon Popp and Sebastian Wolfgruber, met at the Munich Musikhochschule. The band follows not just one, but many creative songwriting processes, in which the groove often develops from the initial musical ideas of guitarist Brändle and trumpeter Lindermayr or the rhythms of the two drummers Popp and Wolfgruber.

HYTOP

Behind the DJ set HyTop are the two Munich natives Manuel Kim and Benjamin Röder. Since 2013, the DJs and organisers have guaranteed hip party sound with their unique open-air party series HYTOP. Their concept: shows and DJ sessions for dancing and partying that are only advertised by word of mouth and are notorious throughout the city. The HyTop parties take place at unique locations in Munich, such as on the roof terrace of the Deutsches Museum, in Müller'schen Volksbad or in the Olympiapark - and are definitely among the party highlights of the year. The professionals at the turntables transform these places into club-suitable locations without further ado, when they are not getting the party crowd dancing in international clubs.

Special Guests: DJoy and DJane SAM

DJoy and DJane SAM. Both artists have made waves in the radio scenes of their home cities of Munich and Leipzig and are ready to bring their unique sound to the Olympic Park. DJoy, known for her monthly radio show "Joyride" on Radio 80000, mixes warm sounds from Brazil, street soul, house and rare Japanese treasures. In the club, she likes to cross genre boundaries, from house music to garage and baile funk to drum 'n' bass. SAM, the host of the "Whatever Floats Your Boat" show on Callshop Radio, combines a wide range of relaxed styles from different electronic directions in her DJ sets. With her focus on more house music, she shows the floor-oriented side of her musical vision.
