Germany's most successful rock musician and his band are already looking forward to the anniversary tour. "We are grateful that there were and are so many people who accompanied, challenged and motivated us, and who are still by our side," he says. "Even though it might sound a bit trite, it's true, and it can't be said often enough: the audience is the most important thing, without the audience everything is nothing."
For Peter Maffay, his fans are therefore almost like long-time friends who live further away: "You can't meet them as often as you'd like, but you should see each other again after a year or two at the latest, so that the connection doesn't break. The nicest thing is when it then feels as if you just parted yesterday. Those are moments that you can't put a price on. This community means a lot to us. We want to celebrate the anniversary extensively with an album and a tour."
