Paul Pizzera from Styria and Otto Jaus, born in Vienna, had been performing solo cabaret programmes for a long time when they first met in 2013 during a cigarette break at the ‘Long Night of Cabaret’ in Leoben. Their first joint project was the release of the song ‘Wir gewinnt’ in autumn 2015. The duo achieved commercial success a year later with their single ‘Jedermann,’ which reached number one in the domestic charts. With their debut album ‘Unerhört solide,’ Pizzera & Jaus achieved one of the most successful long players in Austrian music history in 2017. The album also reached number one and remained in the charts for more than eight years.
The musical cabaret artists' live performances are a spectacular event, especially when they play at home in the Vienna State Opera, the Burgtheater, the always sold-out Stadthallen in Vienna and Graz, or at the Danube Island Festival in front of 100,000 spectators. The duo also caused a sensation with their political satire song ‘Rechtes Vorbild’ (Right-wing role model) about the Ibiza affair involving former Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache. With their magnificent musical cabaret full of wit, humour, heart and brains, Pizzera & Jaus will be performing at the Olympic Hall on 13 November 2027.
