Planet Earth III

Live in Concert

Olympic Hall

It is a mixture of natural history and symphony concert, a visually stunning and musically moving overall experience. "Planet Earth III - Live in Concert" brings the award-winning BBC success series to the Olympic Hall on 24 September 2024. With the greatest scenes from the sensational documentary on a gigantic LED screen - and live music by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer.

The audience can look forward to a journey to the remotest corners of our planet, through wilderness and desert, through grasslands and jungles, to rugged coastlines and into the mysterious depths of our oceans: breathtakingly opulent images in the highest resolution with 4K Ultra HD quality. "Planet Earth III" was filmed over 1904 days in 43 countries. The follow-up series to the first two seasons from 2006 and 2016 premiered on the BBC in October 2023.

The soundtrack by Hans Zimmer will be performed in "Planet Earth III - Live in Concert" by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Matthew Freeman. For the series, the star composer, who has won two Oscars, worked with Jacob Shea and Sara Barone, among others, as well as with the band Bastille. The prequel track was created in collaboration with singer-songwriter Raye. "It's always an honour for me to compose the music for the BBC's natural history series," says Zimmer. "There are no more epic stories than the ones that play out every day in our planet's ecosystem." Stories that unfold an even more impressive power, both visually and acoustically, on the big screen and with a symphony orchestra.
