Red Bull München vs. Grizzlys Wolfsburg

The Niedersachsen team beat the Straubing Tigers 3:1 in the seventh quarterfinal game to win their series 4:3. This is the fifth time in the history of the DEL that a playoff duel has taken place between Munich and Wolfsburg. The Red Bulls have not met any other team more often in the decisive phase of the season.

And the Grizzlies are a welcome opponent, as eleven of the last twelve playoff games have gone to our boys. The last time the two teams met was in the semifinals last season: Munich marched into the final via sweep.

The direct comparison this season is clear: all four duels in the past main round went to the Red Bulls.
