"The advancement and equality of girls and women – both in professional life and in everyday private life – is very important to me. This year, as part of International Women's Day, we would like to make a very special offer that introduces participants to sports that are not quite so common, but highly exciting. I very much hope that many will be interested and sign up for the courses," says Olympic Park Director Marion Schöne.
Verena Dietl, Mayor for Sport and Chair of the Supervisory Board of Olympic Park Munich GmbH, explains: ‘I am delighted that we are offering such an event at the Olympic Park to mark International Women's Day. Teaching knowledge and skills to women by women is an important tool for promoting equal cultural, social and political life in our city.’
