These music stars rock the Midsummer Nights Dream

The next level is ready! Three new music acts have been signed up for the 12th Munich Midsummer Night's Dream on 23 July 2016: SDP, Stephanie Heinzmann and Georg Ringsgwandl will be joining the programme which already features Marlon Roudette, tickets for whom have already been on sale since November. All that’s left is the headliner, which will be announced at the start of 2016. With the three new live acts, the music programme of the Munich Midsummer Night's dream is well advanced and already offers a varied and entertaining mixture for a perfect summer's evening. SDP is hugely popular among younger audiences, while Marlon Roudette supplies the hits for the perfect summer sound. Stefanie Heinzmann's charismatic voice has a huge fan following, and Georg Ringsgwandl warms Bavarian hearts with his intellectually appealing music. SDP Young and hip .... With their creative, anarchistic style of music between art, kitsch and excess, SDP have secured themselves the number one spot amid the local music landscape for many years. The Berlin duo’s latest album, “Zurück in die Zukunft”, ranked number 2 in the album charts in May 2015, their autograph-signing sessions always run late and live their popularity is incredible - just as it will be at Munich’s Midsummer Night's Dream! Stefanie Heinzmann Since her breakthrough in 2008, Stefanie Heinzmann has become one of the European pop scene's most exceptional and stirring singers. With “Chance of Rain”, the charismatic Swiss singer has now produced the perfect all-weather album - no matter what the weather is like on 23rd July 2016! An incredible amount has happened in the life of the pop and soul singer from the Swiss canton of Valais. With her fourth album, “Chance of Rain”, she is clearly moving away from her motown roots and turning more towards a catchy mix of sounds spanning organic neo-soul and electronic elements, both modern and grounded at the same time. The musical foray spans thirty years of “musical misdemeanours with Ringsgwandl as the prime suspect aided and abetted by three criminally good musicians.” The quirky left-field thinker combines elements of traditional Bavarian folk music with punk influences and rock music. Marlon Roudette British singer-songwriter with Caribbean roots Marlon Roudette has a huge fan following in Germany that has already turned two of his singles into number one hits. Everyone knows them: “New Age” and “When the Beat Drops Out”! Although as a solo artist he has only released two albums, the “Elektric Soul” LP is regarded as a modern classic of Electro R&B. His latest single is “Everybody Feeling Something”, on which Marlon Roudette got support from K Stewart. In July 2016, the Londoner will be coming to Munich's Midsummer Night's Dream since his catchy melodies and funky grooves fit perfectly with the summer stage under the marquee roof of the Olympic Stadium. Munich’s Midsummer Night's Dream on 23rd July 2016 will be the twelfth outing for this unique festival featuring famous pop and rock stars and a spectacular fireworks show. The record of 600,000 visitors since 2005 is set to be smashed this year. After the concerts in the Olympic Stadium and on the stage in Coubertinplatz, the gigantic pyrotechnic show accompanied by music will light up the night sky over the Olympiapark.
