50 years of the Olympic Ice Stadium Come and join in the celebrations

01.06.2017 - Olympiapark München GmbH

The Olympic Ice Stadium will be 50 years old on the 12th of February! A great cause for celebration! So Olympiapark München GmbH, together with its partners, is inviting you to come along to the colourful anniversary celebrations from 10 a.m. on the day of the oldest building in the park's birthday. Top billing - lots of fun and action. For all skating fans, either in the ice stadium or in front of the arena on the ice rink, the motto is: twirl to your heart's content with free admission. The EHC Red Bull München will also be there with its event car. Visitors can try out an ice hockey puck shot challenge, watch a training demonstration and cheer on an EHC München e.V. young players' match. Don't forget the "ice hockey taster classes" that ESC München e.V. offers at its training session, as well as the figure skating show being put on by the ERC München and Münchner EV clubs. But that’s not all. Four times a day (at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00), a free back-stage tour will take visitors through the stadium and into the dressing rooms of the ice arena. In the Olympic ice stadium's entrance area, a photo exhibition will also document the dynamic history of this legendary building. Radio Arabella will be there all day, with presenter Klaus Schweiger hosting interesting interviews and of course playing music and games. The crowning finale will be the ice disco from 8 p.m. onwards, where Klaus Schweiger will be the DJ on the decks to create the perfect party atmosphere. Mulled wine and punch to keep the cold out, along with a host of other tasty treats, will be available from Arena One as part of the birthday party celebrations. So? Hot for ice? Come and join in the anniversary celebrations then on the 12th of February in the Olympic Park. For more information and a timetable for the day's events, go here
