We are offering you a once in a lifetime experience. Be part of the biggest multi-sport event in Munich since the 1972 Summer Olympics. Nine European championships ‘under one roof’, in one city, over eleven days. Take a look behind the scenes of the European Championships Munich 2022 and experience an amazing eleven days full of sport, fun, and excitement. From 11-21 August 2022, over 4,400 of Europe’s best athletes will compete for gold, silver, and bronze in 158 medal events in the following nine sports: athletics, beach volleyball, canoe sprint, cycling, gymnastics, rowing, sport climbing, table tennis, and triathlon. The Olympic Park will be the central venue at the heart of the event, just as it was for the Olympic Games 50 years ago. An event of this magnitude requires many helping hands and that is where you come in. Count match points in the sun at Königsplatz, get up close and personal during interviews in the mixed zone, design the best climbing routes in Europe, escort the new European champions to the medal ceremonies, and much more. As a volunteer you can choose your preferred area from a number of different specialisations. Whatever your interest, we have the right role for you! How long you want to support us is up to you. Whether it is only for a few days, all eleven event days, or for several weeks – we look forward to seeing you in action. As a volunteer, you get to enjoy first-class benefits. During your volunteer assignment you will have access to the competitions, be kitted out with official event clothing, provided with food and drinks, a public transport ticket, and to top it all off, a volunteer certificate. Interested persons can register from May 1, 2021 and become part of a unique community. The basic requirement is to be 18 years old by the deadline of June 1, 2022, and to speak German or English.
