FC Bayern and TSV 1860 play at the Olympic Stadium on 23 October.

This highlight could not be missing from the Olympic Park's anniversary programme: Under the motto "MUNICH UNITED", the Olympic Park Munich, together with FC Bayern and TSV 1860, invites all football fans and Munich residents to the Legends Match in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday, 23 October. Kick-off is at 2.15 p.m., the match will be played twice for 35 minutes. From 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., all visitors and their families can look forward to a varied programme of football-related activities on Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz. Tickets for the charity match are now on sale.

"I had very much wished for a match between 'our' two traditional clubs. After all, football has helped shape the Olympic Park for over 33 years. It has thrilled millions of fans with great encounters and provided unique moments and experiences. I am all the more pleased that we can now celebrate this football history, in which FC Bayern and TSV 1860 have played a major role, together in the autumn," says Olympic Park manager Marion Schöne.

Which Legends from Bayern around Giovane Elber and Klaus Augenthaler will be playing in the Olympic Stadium in autumn will be announced at a later date. But the captain is highly motivated in any case: "We are very much looking forward to this special match in the Olympiastadion. The FC Bayern versus TSV 1860 duel has a huge tradition and has thrilled the fans of both Munich clubs for generations. It's great that our legends teams are facing each other in this unique stadium on the occasion of the anniversary 50 years after the Olympic Games. Football history was written in the Olympic Stadium, it is something special and famous worldwide. We hope that many fans will come to this match and promise that we will give everything to offer them the best entertainment," Giovane Elber is pleased to say.

A no less prominent team with Löwen legends such as Benny Lauth and Thomas Miller will line up for Sechzig at the Olympic Stadium: "I am very much looking forward to this traditional match of legends teams in such a special stadium. Through my time with the Löwen, I grew up with the Olympic Stadium and have felt a great affinity to this place ever since. Initially as a ball boy and later as a player, I was able to enjoy the unique atmosphere here. All the more reason for me to look forward to reliving these memories in the Legends game. The games between TSV 1860 and FC Bayern have always been something very special and will always remain so. We want to give the fans a great afternoon in the Olympic Park and are looking forward to a great supporting programme," said Lauth.

The proceeds of the MUNICH UNITED Legends match will go to charitable organisations. "It was important to us from the very beginning that we combine a charity campaign with this game. This is only possible thanks to the active support of the two clubs and our service providers, for which I would like to express my gratitude," says Marion Schöne.

Tickets for the Legends match cost 10 euros for children between the ages of six and 18, and 19.72 euros for adults (seat). The family ticket for two adults and two children is available for 50 euros; children under six are admitted free of charge. Each ticket entitles the holder to use the MVV public transport system. Tickets are available from München Ticket, Tel. 089 54 81 81, muenchenticket.de. The tickets include the advance booking fee, plus postage and packing.
