Whether at MASH Square, in the chill-out areas or open spaces – all invite you to marvel, get involved, linger and relax in the Olympic Park. Every year, the MASH Fest is a fascinating place where you can experience a sense of community. There really is something for everyone here, for young and old alike – lively, thrilling, inclusive and full of ideas.
A tour of sports and lifestyle
There’s plenty to discover on a walk around the festival site. Everyone can get active themselves, whether at the skate and BMX area on Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Square with various workshops, in the Active Area run by the Department of Education and Sport of the City of Munich on the peninsula, at the 3x3 basketball court on Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Square/Ehrenhain, or on the mini ramp at MASH Square. Visitors can also look forward to numerous workshops ranging from graffiti to screen printing, and from dance to yoga. And last but not least, various exhibitors from the scene invite you to browse and shop.
New: The MASH Quest
The quest takes place across the entire MASH site, where six area signs are scattered. A QR code then leads to a specific MASH question. All the correct answers form the solution word, which can be used to enter a competition with great prizes.
A meeting place for everyone – colourful and inclusive
The MASH Fest is colourful and diverse. It is a meeting place for everyone and aims to be accessible to all. Driven by this spirit of inclusion, there will also be a range of activities this year focused on participation. One example is the Sensory Bag lending service. The gym bags contain a variety of sensory aids, such as noise-cancelling headphones or stress-relieving items, which are designed to help people with cognitive impairments or mental health conditions in particular to make their visit more pleasant and accessible in what is often a sensory-overloaded atmosphere. In addition, there will be a barrier-free wayfinding system, a quiet room, designated spaces for people with disabilities at the set-ups, and an e-scooter hire service for visitors with mobility impairments.
A special highlight is the WCMX (Wheelchair Motocross) demonstration. Here, athletes in specially adapted wheelchairs will perform spectacular tricks on skate ramps and in skate parks. For anyone who would like to try this out for themselves or find out more, there will be an open taster session with wheelchairs available to borrow at MASH on Sunday from 14:30 pm to 18:30 pm.
MASH After-Party with the Crux Pistols
On Saturday 27 June, the Crux Pistols will be setting the right vibe at the MASH After-Party: Munich’s leading DJs and former owners of the legendary hip-hop club Crux in the Zerwirkgewölbe, Notfx & Dan Gerous, will be spinning records from 23:00 pm in the East Entrance area of the Olympic Hall.
From 19:30 pm, MASH Square will be the place to be for the Sundown Session, featuring dance show battles and more.
The opening hours of the MASH Festival are: Friday, 15:00 pm – 22:00 pm, Saturday, 12:00 noon – 23:00 pm and Sunday, 12:00 noon – 19:00 pm.
