Theatron
During the summer months the amphitheater with its stage on the shore of the Olympic Lake changes into one of Munich’s most atmospheric places. During the Summer Games 1972 the Theatron had already been the location of the cultural support programe with various events in music, dance and theatre. Today in the summertime every evening numerous national and international acts play Open-Air-Concerts for free. For some bands - who should sell out the Olympic Hall a couple of years later – the Theatron was a big steppingstone for their later career like the Scorpions or the Munich band “Sportfreunde Stiller”.
