What makes calisthenics so special?

Calisthenics is an artistic form of physical training that uses almost exclusively your own body weight to build strength, flexibility and body control. Unlike in a traditional gym, where you often train individual muscles in isolation on machines, calisthenics always challenges entire muscle chains. Your body learns to work as a functional unit.

The calisthenics Area at Munich Action Park

In our modern fitness area, you will find everything you need for an effective full-body workout:

  • The rig and the bars
    At the centre is a solid rig (scaffolding). Here you can safely perform pull-ups, muscle-ups and dynamic swing exercises. The different heights of the bars ensure that both tall adults and children and teenagers can find the right grip options.
  • Parallel bars
    No calisthenics training is complete without dips. Stable parallel bars are available for this purpose. These are ideal for strengthening your chest, shoulder and triceps muscles. Advanced users also use the parallel bars for static holding exercises such as the L-sit, planche or handstand.
  • Safety through soft flooring
    A decisive advantage over outdoor parks on concrete or bark mulch is the flooring. The entire area is covered with professional sports flooring and, in some cases, mats.
