After months of rehearsals with teaching materials created especially for them, thousands of children's voices will rise again shortly before the summer holidays to sing an extensive concert repertoire together in choir.
6K-UNITED! builds on the success of 2025 and connects the audience and participants in an immersive concert experience: accompanied by an 18-piece live band, a new stage setup in 2026 brings the audience and choir even closer together. In addition to the kids, the audience also plays an active role in the show experience: TOGETHER, everyone involved creates very special moments and overwhelming concert experiences for the whole family. With a colourful repertoire under the powerful annual motto ‘WE ARE TEAM LOVE’, children's choirs and school classes fill the largest concert venues.
6K UNITED! inspires children to sing and make music in a lasting way and offers teachers and choir directors variety, inspiration and know-how for innovative, holistic and lively music lessons. The project promotes basic musical skills, a sense of rhythm and the correct use of one's own voice.
The artistic director of the project, Prof. Fabian Sennholz, trains prospective music teachers for all types of schools at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. As a pianist and musical director, he has accompanied renowned artists, including Tim Bendzko (from 2010 to 2022). Together with his team, he trains the participating teachers in workshops at 6K UNITED! To help them develop their repertoire, they also receive tailor-made teaching materials for all types of schools, which they use to prepare the children for their big performance in the arena. This includes a comprehensive songbook with tips and teaching modules, as well as elaborately produced and rousing instructional videos that convey the joy of singing and performing to the children. This enables both trained musicians and teachers from other disciplines to confidently organise their rehearsals.
Participation gives the children enormous self-confidence, strengthens their ability to concentrate and promotes team spirit. The anticipation of the concerts allows all participants to surpass themselves and grow together.
The highlights of the project are the extraordinary final concerts. In large arenas, where the children's idols usually perform, up to 6,000 choir kids come together to sing the songs they have learned for the first time as part of Germany's largest children's choir. On the day of the concert, the children surpass themselves. They are the stars and together they create deeply moving and memorable concert experiences in which the participants and audience in the arena unite as one. By the time the concert comes around, everyone will not only know, but also experience for themselves, that such a professional concert can only be staged TOGETHER. Families, friends and all other audience members will experience the overwhelming spirit that makes 6K UNITED! concerts so special.
