Whether 5 km, 10 km or Kids Run - with a few metres of elevation gain, stair passages and paths around the lake, the route is varied but doable for everyone. Ideal for trail runners who like it urban, for city runners with a desire for new challenges or for anyone who simply enjoys running. Look forward to a real night-run atmosphere, an expo area and much more.
The start of the Intersport Urban Trail Run is at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Square, right in the heart of the Olympic Park. From there, the route first leads between the Olympic Hall and the Olympic Swimming Hall - an atmospheric start past Munich's legendary sports venues.
You then circle the northern shore of the Olympic Lake before tackling the ascent to the Olympiaberg at the easternmost point of the park. At the top, not only a sporty climb awaits you, but also a spectacular panoramic view over the entire Olympic Park and Munich city centre.
But it's not just an easy ascent: the route first takes you downhill on narrow trails before a second, crisp climb leads back up to the viewpoint on the Olympiaberg. Trail feeling in the middle of the city! From there, you run down towards the south and follow the path along the southern shore of Lake Olympia. Turn off just before Sea Life and tackle the last section - including a few steps for a real urban trail experience. Your destination is once again Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Square, where you will receive a fitting welcome after your urban trail tour.
The approx. 2 km long children's route runs partly along the main route - perfect for young and old participants. The route is recommended for children aged 7 to 12.
