From synth sounds to power ballads to new wave anthems, the 80s Super Show takes you on a journey back in time to the great classics of those years. Fans can look forward to seeing the old masters of Alphaville, who stormed the charts in 1984 with ‘Big in Japan’ and ‘Forever Young’. Flying in from the UK to the Olympiahalle is Nik Kershaw, who also celebrated his greatest successes in 1984 with ‘Wouldn't It Be Good’ and ‘The Riddle’. The Cutting Crew, who had a mega hit in 1986 with ‘(I Just) Died In Your Arms’, also join in with the soundtrack of the eighties.
Johnny Hates Jazz once again relive ‘Shattered Dreams’, Camouflage sing ‘The Great Commandment’ and Samantha Fox has no reservations about touching in ‘Touch Me’. Markus provides NDW nostalgia with ‘Kleine Taschenlampe brenn'’, and when he steps on the gas, he's sure to have a lot of fun again. We can look forward to the announcement of a performance by ‘Milli Vanilli’ – the band that celebrated great success even though they didn't sing at all. Will they sing this time? And what will the line-up be, following the death of Rob Pilatus in 1998? Incidentally, the host of the evening is also one of the legends of the 80s: Peter Illmann, the great anchorman of the music programme ‘Formel Eins’.
