Following initial success on the radio with the “Bayern-Cops” and “Bully’s Late Light Show”, he also made his mark on television from 1997 onwards with the “Bullyparade”. He enjoyed his greatest success on the big screen from the turn of the millennium. “Der Schuh des Manitu” became the most successful production in German film history; other major box-office hits included “(T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1” and, most recently, “Das Kanu des Manitu”. Since 2021, Bully Herbig has also been the host of the show “LOL: Last One Laughing” on Prime Video.
And now he’s coming to the Olympic Hall. Quite involuntarily. How did it come about? The trigger was a bet with his “LOL” producer Otto Steiner. He put forward the theory that Bully would fill the Olympic Hall to the brim even without bringing a programme with him. To Herbig’s astonished reaction (“How on earth is that supposed to work? Am I supposed to read out the phone book?”), Steiner replied: “You’re on. We’ll fill the arena with 10,000 spectators.” Because Bully Herbig unwisely agreed to it with a handshake, he can’t back out of it now. Will he really sell out the arena? And what will he come up with for his live show? We’ll find out on 10 September. Well then, enjoy!
