The grand, high-contrast swarm in dazzling costumes and against vibrant backdrops is wonderful fun for the whole family. “OVO”, which redefines the limits of the human body, will now also be performing in Munich in spring 2027.

The audience is plunged headfirst into a cosmos teeming with life. Loud, turbulent scenes alternate with quiet, emotional moments. A mysterious, giant egg poses a riddle to all the actors, performers and clowns in their insect costumes and characters. Mighty crickets are catapulted into the air from the trampoline, and a hypnotic spider contorts itself in its web until it is almost unrecognisable.

‘OVO’, which means ‘egg’ in Portuguese, is a timeless symbol that runs like a thread through the spectacle. Amidst all the crawling and flying creatures, love naturally plays its part when the formidable ladybird falls for the lively, mysterious fly. And as always with Cirque du Soleil, “OVO” is packed with artistic feats of the highest calibre.
