Cirque du Soleil

Ovo

Olympic Hall

Cirque du Soleil has enchanted audiences at the Olympic Hall on several occasions – whether with shows such as *Delirium* or *Saltimbanco*, *Alegria* or, most recently in 2024, *Corteo*. Now, one of the world’s most famous entertainment companies is returning to Munich with its hit production *Ovo*. As always, visitors can look forward to a harmonious blend of acrobatics, artistry and aesthetics.

The success story began in 1982, when the street performer Guy Laliberté founded a variety troupe in the small Canadian town of Baie-Saint-Paul. Their first major performance, to mark Canada’s 450th anniversary, also marked their breakthrough; Laliberté finally founded Cirque du Soleil in 1984. Over the past 40-plus years, the company has created more than 50 original productions and delighted more than 400 million people in 86 countries with its shows. With 4,000 employees, 1,200 artists and 17 productions running simultaneously worldwide, Cirque du Soleil is now one of the largest international entertainment companies.

‘Ovo’ will once again transport Munich audiences into the wondrous realm of insects during seven performances between 27 and 31 January. Featuring graceful dragonflies, industrious ants, floating butterflies – and, amongst others, a ladybird in love. An enchanting little world featuring acrobatic feats of the highest calibre, perfectly executed and, as always, accompanied by moving live music: fascinatingly staged by 53 performers and musicians who time and again push the boundaries of the imaginable.
