Deine Freunde

The story began in 2010, when drummer and rapper Florian Sump – who was working as a nursery teacher at a Hamburg nursery – wanted to record a song for his nursery – and eventually recorded the song ‘Schokolade’ with DJ Markus Pauli and singer Lukas Nimscheck. A humorous, catchy rap tune that delighted not only children and parents, but also children’s song legend Rolf Zuckowski. For the new trio, who called themselves “Deine Freunde”, he founded the record label “noch mal!!”. The B-side of their “Schokolade” single featured a new version of the classic “Wie schön, dass Du geboren bist”.

Since their debut album “Ausm Häuschen” (2012), Deine Freunde have released eight more full-length albums, featuring cool vibes, laid-back grooves and humorous lyrics that resonate deeply with everyone – young and old alike – who navigates the often-strenuous daily life of family life. In 2024, they also launched their own radio drama series, “Tür zu, es zieht”, which, with plenty of charm and a twinkle in the eye, explores the sometimes challenging dynamics between parents and children. “Die Kinder spielen verrückt” is the fitting title of their latest album, which Deine Freunde are now presenting live at the Olympic Hall.
