Only one week after the Bavarian rowing championships, there is already more excitement at the Olympic regatta course: Around 2,000 rowers aged 27 to 80 from all over the world are expected to attend the Euro Masters Regatta.
The event is one of the largest European rowing competitions and takes place every two years. The rowing events are over 1,000 metres long and are held in all types of boats, from the single scull to the eight oar boat. Worth seeing in particular is the competition for the Munich Masters trophy: On Sunday morning, from 9 o’clock onwards, the six best single scull rowers in every age category compete against each other
For actively participants and visitors, there is much on offer in addition to the regatta event on the racing days from 26 to 29 July, starting with a comprehensive culinary offering via numerous exhibitors of sports accessories and sports clothing to a photo service. A special highlight on Saturday evening is the large Masters party, where live music will provide a party atmosphere after the race from 7 pm onwards.
Important: During the competition period, it is strictly forbidden to bathe along the regatta route. It is also not possible to walk around the regatta route on the paved road.
The race details and the precise schedule will be published on 5 July. More information is available on the internet at www.regatta.de
