The band’s success story began in 2005, when guitarist Zoltán Báthory formed the band together with drummer Jeremy Spencer. Their debut album, *The Way of the Fist*, entered the Billboard 200 in 2007, and with their follow-up album, *War is the Answer*, Five Finger Death Punch made it into the Top Ten for the first time in 2009. With their two albums “The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell” (Vol. 1 + 2), they each reached number 1 on the Billboard Rock Charts. And in Germany, too, they found themselves at number 1 on the album charts: in 2018 with “And Justice for None”.
With more than six million monthly listeners on Spotify, 5FDP have long been among the most successful metal bands of the present day. The celebrations marking the band’s 20th anniversary began with the release of two best-of albums and are now continuing with a major world tour. Fans in Munich are likely to have fond memories of past performances, at their concerts in 2017 and 2020 at the Olympic Hall – and, of course, as the support act at one of the two Metallica open-air concerts in May 2024 at the Olympic Stadium. Now singer Ivan Moody, Zoltán Báthory and their bandmates are once again getting the crowd in the hall properly fired up.
