Born Louis Kevin Celestin in Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince, he moved to Montreal with his parents as a child. With mixtapes, EPs and remix compilations on smaller labels, he made a name for himself among dance scene insiders under the stage name Kaytradamus, later Kaytranada. His social media releases, such as his 2013 remix of Janet Jackson's ‘If,’ eventually went viral. With his debut album ‘99.9%,’ he secured the Polaris Music Prize and the Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year 2017. His second album, ‘Bubba,’ propelled him to number one on the Billboard Electronic Charts. Finally, in 2021, Kaytranada won two Grammys: in the category ‘Best Dance Recording’ for ‘10%’ and for ‘Bubba’ as Best Dance/Electronic Album.
With his albums ‘Timeless’ (2024) and ‘Ain't No Damn Way’ (2025), Kaytranada finally established himself as one of the world's most renowned dance DJs and producers. With his concert on 11 June, he will now perform at the Olympic Hall for the first time. However, he already played at the Olympic Stadium next door three years ago: as the support act for The Weeknd on his legendary ‘After Hours til Dawn Tour’ in the summer of 2023.
