Kunst & Krempel

Vacations in the Olympic Park

Peninsula in the Olympic Park

From 1. - 17. August, children and young people aged 7-15 are invited to create usable and unusable new things from wood, packaging, paper and foil scraps, cardboard, fabric and string in various workshops.

Junk? That's stuff that nobody needs, right? We do! Wooden beams and scraps, old furniture, packaging, paper and foil scraps, cardboard, electrical and bicycle scrap, old toys, fabrics and cords - everything is used, can be processed, changed, combined, makes sounds or can be used as a backdrop for (animated) films and theatre. Together with specialists from the fields of visual arts, film, sound, architecture, crafts and theatre and you, new arrangements and temporary art spaces are created in the spacious studios.

In the many workshops and studios, you can try out materials such as clay, fabric, paper and wood, create soundscapes for films that don't even exist, create fragrances, build boats and much more. Whether this results in a ‘finished’ object or work of art or is seen as playful experimentation is up to you.

Children and young people aged 7 to 15 can take part in Kunst & Krempel free of charge and without registration; the duration of participation is decided by the children themselves. Groups of five or more children must book their visit in advance to ensure that they get a place in the many studios.
