The fact that Marco Mengoni has long been one of the top stars of the music scene in his native Italy is not only shown by the many gold and platinum awards for his albums. The sold-out open air in the summer of 2022 at Milan's San Siro Stadium in front of 56,000 enthusiastic fans was further proof of the enormous popularity of the singer-songwriter, who already celebrated his breakthrough in 2010 - when he was honoured as Best Italian and Best European Act at the MTV European Awards. The year 2013 became a milestone when he won the Sanremo Festival for the first time with "L'essenziale" and also debuted at the ESC with this song, at that time he came 7th in Malmö.
Ten years later, he now secured his second success in Sanremo with "Due Vite" - he came fourth at the ESC in Liverpool in May 2023. In addition to his grandiose solo performances, he has also repeatedly performed in outstanding duets with Italian and international artists, including the singer-songwriter legend Lucio Dalla, who shortly before his death in 2012 even compared Mengoni to the pop icon Prince. As part of his European tour, Marco Mengoni will also make a guest appearance at the Olympic Hall on 2 November 2023.
